so matthew started his diving class this week and dashiell started back up his swim lessons, too. his teacher this time is stacey, who was matthew's teacher for the dolphins last session. she seems to be pretty strict, but still very kid friendly. yay! she even got him to do torpedoes and to lie on his back and float a couple of times! i took some videos earlier, but those will have to wait. no time right now...
i got soooo mad while we were trying to come home. long story short, we were in the parking lot, ready to pull out, but there was a bevy of cars waiting to pull out as well as park. i wasn't in any hurry, so i just sat and waited for them to all pass. there was a car sitting right behind me (i thought it was blocking my way anyways, so i just waited). then this lady comes up to our car and yells and motions for me to move -- basically telling me to go ahead and pull out of the space! uh, what?! since when did people wanting to park get so rude? at first i couldn't tell what she was doing, so i rolled the window down, and she kept yelling at me to move it! good grief. people were honking at her and everything. i was so upset i just sat there in the middle of the road telling her to stop being so rude and to not get so frantic about a dumb parking space. good grief.
it upset me so much that dashiell, on the way home said, "that lady was bad, mama."
on a happier note...
brennan still says, "baum" when he wants more food. i can't even begin to say what word that is really supposed to be. "baum"?!
he does say "cookie" very well now, as well as "yumm, yumm, yumm" when eating said cookie. actually, he often walks by the counter and points up to the cookie jar saying "cookie" whenever he can. what has daddy done to him?! =P
dashiell is starting to feel better...he missed school monday and tuesday because he had a fever and was really under the weather. but yesterday and today he went. he really missed his friends.
matthew is still having a good time at school. although mom told me something weird this morning. when they were getting ready to leave in the morning, she noticed him trying to hide something behind his back when he came down the stairs. he was trying to smuggle something into his backpack. come to find out, it's his football jersey. he said that his classmate, bill (last name williams. really.) didn't believe he played football so matthew wanted to bring his jersey in to show him as proof. weird. or is it? seems so bizarre to me.
on our way to the swim center i tried to ask matthew why he didn't believe him. he ended up telling me that bill thought he was too nice to be playing football. hmmm...
i told him he should wear his old, red practice jersey to school. it's wittmann red fridays afterall. we'll see if he does.
nighty-night. i am exhausted. but thank goodness tomorrow is friday. YAY!
